The Young Firefighters Association was introduced into South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service approximately 4 years ago and now has 6 branches at the following fire stations:
    Darnall Road
    Barnsley
    Rotherham
    Adwick-le-Street
    Mansfield Road
    Elm Lane
Two more branches are proposed at Mosborough and Edlington in the near future.

There are six branches of the Young Firefighters Association throughout the County with two more due to open in the near future. This section of the site includes accounts of the activities undertaken told by the Young Firefighters themselves.

Members of the Young Firefighters Association often attend events such as Blue Light and Fire Station Open Days to assist and to demonstrate their skills.
